Médicos colombianos han extraído un cepillo de dientes a una joven de 20 años después de que ella se lo tragara por accidente, según ha informado Radio Caracol. La joven podría haber intentado provocarse el vómito con el cepillo Los hechos ocurrieron en el municipio de Ciudad Bolívar, en Colombia, cuando después de comer Martha Restrepo se dispuso a lavarse por dientes y, de forma accidental, el cepillo se le fuera por el esófago. La mujer atribuyó el accidente a que tenía las manos enjabonadas y muy resbaladizas. Uno de los médicos que le asistió, sin embargo, afirma que la paciente, que sufre de bulimia, intentaba provocarse el vómito con el cepillo y el objeto se deslizó hacia el esófago. Alojado en el intestino La paciente tuvo que recibir anestesia general, para poder extraerle el cepillo de sus intestinos. Los médicos emplearon un endoscopio introducido por la boca de la mujer hasta llegar a donde estaba alojado el cepillo de dientes, lo que evitó que la paciente fuera sometida a una cirugía. La joven se encuentra bien tras el procedimiento y fue dada de alta, pero deberá someterse a chequeos la próxima semana, según informaron sus familiares.20mn.es
