PUERTO PLATA.-Con espectáculo en el que actuaron El Chaval de la Bachata y Milly y Los Vecinos la Oficina Senatorial del senador Francis Vargas agasajó por anticipado el pasado viernes en el malecón a las madres de la ciudad de Puerto Plata.
Miles de mujeres se congregaron en torno a la tarima colocada detrás del Cuartel de los Bomberos Municipales para disfrutar del grandioso concierto que mezcló bachatas y merengues que se extendió pasadas las doce la noche del día de ayer.
El senador Francis Vargas anunció que el espectáculo marca solo el inició de todos los eventos y entrega de obsequios a las madres, ya que hará un recorrido barrio por barrio y todos los municipios de la provincia de Puerto Plata, repartiendo electrodomésticos a todas las madres.
Expresó que esta acción, la cual ha venido realizando desde hace varios años, es una forma de agradecer a las madres puertoplateñas por haberlo elegido como diputado y como senador de la República.
"Las otras designaciones se las agradezco al presidente Leonel Fernández, que me hizo gobernador y fiscal de Puerto Plata", subrayó.
Agregó que "amo a este pueblo y me inclino reverentemente ante él", concluyó diciendo el también presidente del Comité Provincial del Partido de la Liberación Dominicana al dirigirse a los asistentes a la actividad festiva dedicada a las madres.
En la actividad estuvieron presentes el síndico Walter Musa, los diputados Alfonso Crisóstomo y Félix Castillo, el síndico de Imbert, Valentin Hernández, la vicesíndica Maritza Núñez, la directora Regional de Educación Emelania Cid, el empresario Waldito Musa, el subdirector de CORAAPPLATA, Cándido Polanco, la directora del Plan Social de la Presidencia, Dulce Vargas y otros invitados.
